South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch is reportedly considering a move to the Indian Premier League (IPL) despite having a contract with Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 2025. Bosch is set to replace the injured Lizaad Williams in the Mumbai Indians squad, which may lead him to forgo his PSL commitment.
Bosch’s Role in PSL 10 and IPL Opportunity
The right-arm pacer was picked as a diamond-category player by Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL 2025 draft and was expected to play a crucial role in the team’s campaign. However, with PSL 10 scheduled from April 11 to May 18—directly clashing with the IPL—Bosch is now reconsidering his options.
His familiarity with the Mumbai Indians setup stems from his successful stint with MI Cape Town in the SA20 league, where he played a key role in their title-winning campaign, taking 11 wickets in seven innings at an economy rate of 8.68. If Bosch joins Mumbai Indians, he will reunite with SA20 teammate Ryan Rickelton and strengthen the team’s seam-bowling all-rounder department alongside Hardik Pandya and Raj Bawa.
Impact on Peshawar Zalmi’s PSL 10 Plans
With Bosch potentially opting for the IPL, Peshawar Zalmi will need to rethink their squad strategy for PSL X. His absence could leave a void in both the bowling and batting departments, requiring the franchise to explore possible replacements ahead of the tournament.
