The PSL 12 schedule runs from 18 March to 2 May 2027: 44 matches over 46 days, made up of 40 league matches and four playoff matches. All eight franchises return, and the Pakistan Cricket Board has said matches will be played at five to six venues. The match-by-match fixture list and the venue names have not been published yet. The player auction is on 23 January 2027.
Last checked 23 October 2026 against the PCB’s announcements. We update this page on the day the league publishes new schedule details.
If you came for a match-by-match list: none has been released. Pages that show specific PSL 12 match dates and teams are projections, and the ones we compared on 23 October 2026 do not agree with each other on the opening date. This page lists only what the PCB has confirmed.
What has the PCB confirmed about the PSL 12 schedule?
The PCB has confirmed the tournament window, the number of matches, the number of teams and the auction date, but not the fixtures, the venue names or the match timings. The table separates what is settled from what is still open, with the source for each item.

When does PSL 12 start and end?
PSL 12 starts on 18 March 2027 and ends on 2 May 2027. Those are the only match dates the PCB has confirmed so far; the opening fixture and the playoff dates will follow with the fixture list.
| Date | Event | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 23 October 2026 | Direct-signing window opens | Confirmed |
| 23 November 2026 | Direct-signing window closes | Confirmed |
| 23 January 2027 | PSL 12 player auction | Confirmed |
| 18 March 2027 | First day of PSL 12 | Confirmed |
| 2 May 2027 | Final and last day of PSL 12 | Confirmed |
PSL 12, the 12th season of the Pakistan Super League, runs from 18 March to 2 May 2027. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the window on 8 October 2026. All eight franchises return, and the league has not yet published match-by-match fixtures.
PSL 11 ran from 26 March to 3 May 2026. PSL 12 starts 8 days earlier in March and finishes one day earlier in May, which is why the 2027 window is 7 days longer.
How many matches will PSL 12 have?
PSL 12 will have 44 matches: 40 league matches and four playoff matches over 46 days. That is the same match count as PSL 11, played over a longer window.
| PSL 11 (2026) | PSL 12 (2027) | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | 26 March to 3 May 2026 | 18 March to 2 May 2027 |
| Days from first to last day | 39 | 46 |
| Matches | 44 | 44 |
| League matches | 40 | 40 |
| Playoff matches | 4 | 4 |
| Teams | 8 | 8 |
| Venues | Six planned; played in Lahore and Karachi | Five to six; names not announced |
| Player auction | 11 February 2026 | 23 January 2027 |
| Days from auction to start of the tournament | 43 | 54 |
PSL 11 also had 44 matches but ran for 39 days, from 26 March to 3 May 2026, so PSL 12 gives the league 7 more days to play the same number of matches.
Our reading of the numbers: eight teams playing ten league matches each produce exactly 40 league matches (8 × 10 ÷ 2). The PCB has not published the PSL 12 group structure or playoff format, so we treat both as unconfirmed. See our guide to the PSL format and playoffs for how PSL 11 worked.
Where will PSL 12 be played?
The PCB has said PSL 12 will be played at five to six venues but has not named them. For comparison, PSL 11 was first scheduled across six venues and was then played in Lahore and Karachi only.
| PSL 11 venue | City | Matches in the original plan | Hosted PSL 11 matches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gaddafi Stadium | Lahore | 15 | Yes (final) |
| Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium | Rawalpindi | 11 | No (schedule revised) |
| Iqbal Stadium | Faisalabad | 7 | No (schedule revised) |
| National Bank Stadium | Karachi | 6 | Yes |
| Multan Cricket Stadium | Multan | 4 | No (schedule revised) |
| Imran Khan Cricket Stadium | Peshawar | Not stated | No (schedule revised) |

A venue list published before the PCB confirms it should be treated as a projection. Our rule here: a venue goes on the PSL 12 pages only when the PCB or the league names it. Until then the table above is history, not a forecast.
When will the PSL 12 fixtures be released?
The PCB has not announced a release date for the PSL 12 fixtures. Three steps come first: the direct-signing window closes on 23 November 2026, the retention deadline and trade window are set after a franchise workshop, and the player auction takes place on 23 January 2027.
For PSL 11 the PCB revealed venue details on 10 March 2026, 27 days after the player auction on 11 February and 16 days before the first match on 26 March.
Applying that same 27-day gap to the 23 January 2027 auction gives 19 February 2027. That is arithmetic, not a PCB statement, and the league has made no commitment to any date. We will replace this section with the fixtures table on the day it is published.
Which teams will play in PSL 12?
Eight franchises will play in PSL 12: Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz. The table shows how each finished in PSL 11, the most recent season; PSL 12 squads are not announced.
| Pos | Team | PSL 11 league record | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Peshawar Zalmi (champions) | 8 won, 1 lost, 1 no result | 17 |
| 2 | Islamabad United | 6 won, 3 lost, 1 no result | 13 |
| 3 | Multan Sultans | 6 won, 4 lost | 12 |
| 4 | Hyderabad Kingsmen (runners-up) | 5 won, 5 lost | 10 |
| 5 | Lahore Qalandars | 5 won, 5 lost | 10 |
| 6 | Karachi Kings | 5 won, 5 lost | 10 |
| 7 | Quetta Gladiators | 3 won, 7 lost | 6 |
| 8 | Rawalpindiz | 1 won, 9 lost | 2 |

Who won PSL 11?
Peshawar Zalmi won PSL 11, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on 3 May 2026. It was Zalmi’s second title, nine years after their first in 2017. Kingsmen were all out for 129. The final drew 32,461 spectators. Full season detail is on our PSL 11 page and the PSL 10 archive.
What happens before PSL 12 starts: direct signings, retentions and the auction
Each PSL 12 franchise may directly sign one marquee player between 23 October and 23 November 2026, and the player auction follows on 23 January 2027. The steps below are in the order the PCB has described them.
- Direct signings, 23 October to 23 November 2026. Each of the eight franchises can sign one marquee player who did not feature in PSL 10 or PSL 11.
- Franchise workshop (date not announced). Franchises meet to finalise the retention deadline, the pre-auction trade window, the auction rules and the playing conditions.
- Retentions and trades (dates to be set). The PCB has not yet published either deadline.
- Player auction, 23 January 2027. The venue has not been announced.
- Fixtures (date not announced). Match dates, venues and timings follow.
- Tournament, 18 March to 2 May 2027.
For reference, the PSL 11 auction gave each franchise a purse of PKR 45 crore and required squads of 16 to 20 players. The PCB has not said whether the same limits apply to PSL 12. We track the status on the PSL 12 auction page, the direct signings page and the auction rules guide.
What time will PSL 12 matches be in the UK, UAE and USA?
Match timings have not been announced, but the time difference between Pakistan and the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK and the US East Coast is fixed and can be worked out now.
| Location | Time zone during PSL 12 | Pakistan is ahead by |
|---|---|---|
| UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) | UTC+4 | 1 hour |
| Saudi Arabia | UTC+3 | 2 hours |
| United Kingdom | UTC+0 until 27 March; UTC+1 from 28 March 2027 | 5 hours until 27 March; 4 hours from 28 March |
| US East Coast and Toronto | UTC-4 (daylight time since 14 March 2027) | 9 hours |
Pakistan is five hours ahead of UTC and does not change its clocks, so PSL 12 match times shift for overseas viewers only when their own clocks change. A match starting at 8:00 PM in Pakistan starts at 7:00 PM in the UAE, 3:00 PM in the UK before 28 March 2027 and 4:00 PM from that date. On the US East Coast the same start is 11:00 AM.
