What changed when the league grew to eight teams?
PSL 11 in 2026 was the first season with eight teams, up from six. Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz were the two additions to the table. Reports about how Rawalpindiz relate to the Multan Sultans franchise conflict, and Multan Sultans also played PSL 11 under their own name, so we describe each team separately and state ownership only where sources agree. The format changed too, to two groups of four; see our guide to the PSL format and playoffs.
Team pages show history through the end of PSL 11 and will carry PSL 12 squads only after the franchises or the PCB announce them. Read how we label sources in our methodology.
How do the PSL teams compare?
The five original franchises, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, are joined by Multan Sultans from 2018 and, for 2026, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz. See the team owners page for who owns each team and the venues page for home grounds.
