It opened in 1959 and has hosted the PSL final in 2017, 2022, 2023, 2025 and 2026. The most recent was the PSL 11 final on 3 May 2026, when Peshawar Zalmi beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by 5 wickets.

The 2017 final, played on 5 March 2017, was the first PSL fixture held in Pakistan after the 2016 season was played entirely in the UAE. The 2023 final is listed on the stadium’s Wikipedia page but not on the league page’s list of final venues, so treat that row as awaiting a PCB check.
Why is Gaddafi Stadium so important to Lahore Qalandars?

The original PSL 11 schedule gave Gaddafi Stadium 15 matches, including three double-headers, the opening match on 26 March 2026 and the final on 3 May, with 4 May as a reserve day. What is unconfirmed about Gaddafi Stadium for PSL 12?
The PCB has not named the PSL 12 venues, so it is not confirmed that Gaddafi Stadium will host the opening match, matches or the final. Fixtures, timings and ticketing for 2027 have not been announced either. All other grounds are listed on the PSL venues page.
